Pre-Charging Investigation

It is so important to contact an attorney as soon as possible.  Most arrestees wait until their court date before taking any proactive steps toward fighting their case.  This is a huge mistake.

There are so many different results that can be obtained by having an attorney conduct a pre-filing investigation into a case.  Often times, a case filing can be avoided entirely.  Other times, an attorney can cause a case that was to be filed as a felony to be filed as a misdemeanor or infraction instead.

Prosecutors have the discretion to hold office hearings in lieu of filing a case.  The right attorney can be imperative in making that happen and avoiding a filing.

Don’t waste time.  Don’t procrastinate.  Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.  Don’t talk to law enforcement before contacting an attorney.  Help your attorney to help you by allowing time for a pre-filing investigation if at all possible.
